Bergen rewards a family that stays in the old centre rather than beside a motorway. Opus XVI is a smaller hotel in a historic building on Vågsallmenningen, a few minutes from the wharf and the fish market, which builds its whole identity around the composer Edvard Grieg.

The Peer Gynt suite is arranged over two floors with the bedroom upstairs. That is part of its character, but it does not suit every guest.
